Cross cutter Core BarrelMain application:-
A Cross Cutter is designed mainly to used for break rock cores which remain in the borehole after using a core barrel.
The core is broken with round shank picks. Then cuttings are removed with heavy duty buckets.
It is also suitable for drilling hard, jointed rock (<100 MPa) and for penetrating through layers containing boulders.
